How Can We Help?
You are not alone
Remember, you are not alone. Regardless of where you live in Scotland, the Scottish Cot Death Trust is here to support you through this very difficult and distressing time. Anyone can make a referral for you, providing you have given your permission. We aim to provide holistic bereavement support for all family members, which includes outreach support where and when you need it. We will support you using the communication style you prefer when you want it and support you at the level you need – it might be one phone call with a support worker or long term psychotherapy counselling, regular contact with a support worker and contact with other families. To begin with you might not know how much support you will need. We will be there to support you through every stage of your grief.
This short video shoes how our various support services have helped Dawn and her family since the death of her baby daughter, Fern.
If you decide that it is not the right time to get in touch just now, we’re still here if you want to contact us anytime in the future. We know that it may not be easy for you to make initial contact with us so there are different ways to get in touch – you can send us an email, call us or send us a message through our Facebook page, whatever you find easiest when the time is right for you. The Scottish Cot Death Trust is available to support you at any point throughout your bereavement, whether straight away or months later.

“Love this organisation can’t thank them enough for the help and support over the last 11 years” Sandra Llewellyn
“Thanks to SCDT for the help we have had over the last nearly 3 years. Thank you for helping get all out badges for our wedding favours which helped us to keep Aidan part of our day along with a few other discreet things the small card we added the badge to so everyone had something to take home” Rachel Collins
