Every year we apply for funding from many charitable Trusts and for funding grants to help us provide our vital services across Scotland. As our new financial year begins, we thought you might like to know which funders are so generously supporting our work this new financial year and we are only two weeks in! At any one time we can have around 55 applications in progress – it keeps us busy.
Global’s Make Some Noise has just granted a further six months of funding into a second year. We were supported last year with £20,320 and last week were provided a further £10,160. The funding is covering costs of play therapy for bereaved siblings, apnoea monitors for families enrolled on our Next Infant Support Programme and also towards reprints of our sibling support books, Rory’s Star and Andrew’s Rainbow. The funding from Global’s Make Some Noise makes such a difference and the awareness they helped raise during their fundraising efforts was truly amazing.
This week we heard from another funder, Foundation Scotland, that it has granted funding towards our education project,
Back to Basics. Back to Baby. What wonderful news – we are so delighted to have their support! Foundation Scotland joins another six funders, who have already generously awarded funding for this project since December 2020; DWF Foundation, Hospital Saturday Fund, Nancie Massey Trust, Stafford Trust, Thistledown Trust, and Tillyloss Trust. Together they are funding almost £20,000. This education project is so important in talking about reducing the risk of SUDI and this funding allows us to continue our vital work.
A big thank you to these fantastic funders!
